The Faculty of Law of the University of Bayreuth is delighted by your interest in spending one or two semesters in Bayreuth. No matter if you are coming to Bayreuth through ERASMUS, the Global Programmes, or as a Freemover, we aim to make your start at the University of Bayreuth easier with the information below.

General information for Incoming International Law Students

In addition to all courses taught in German, the University of Bayreuth offers a wide range of law courses in foreign languages (English, Spanish and French) for you to enroll in:
- List of law courses in foreign languages for the summer semester 2025
- cmlife (Course catalog with courses from all faculties)
For each course, you will earn 6 ECTS after passing an exam.
For seminars, you will earn 10-12 ECTS. However, please be aware that a seminar paper and presentation is an academic achievement and can be demanding.We would also like to mention the entensive range of courses offered by the Language Center, which provides language courses in more than 20 languages.

The summer semester starts on April 1, 2025, and ends on September 30, 2025. The first day of lectures is April 23, 2025, and the last day of lectures is July 25, 2025.
